Data protection is of great importance to my law firm ∣ von Rom RECHTSANWÄLTIN UND NOTARIN and we attach great importance to the security of your personal data.

 

We process your personal data only to the extent necessary or legally required for the contact you have requested or the provision of notarial services you have commissioned. Notaries are also legally obliged to maintain special confidentiality in accordance with § 18 BNotO. All employees of the law firm are obliged to do so. A breach of the notarial confidentiality obligation is generally punishable by law. We have concluded corresponding confidentiality agreements with all external service providers or processors for your protection within the framework of the legal obligations.

2. Collection and storage of personal data and the nature and purpose of their use

a) When visiting the website

When you visit our website https://vonromlaw.de, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Website from which the access was made (referrer URL)

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or in writing, the data you provide (in particular your request to us, your e-mail address, your name and your telephone number) will be recorded and stored by us, in particular in order to answer your questions. The same applies if you use our contact form on our website.

 

Data processing in connection with the establishment of contact is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. e GDPR.

 

c) When commissioning notarial services
If you instruct me to provide notarial services, we often require personal data from you in addition to the information under b). The law requires notaries to collect, process and - in the course of their official duties - pass on data to third parties (e.g. tax offices or registry courts) (more on this in section 3).


3. Disclosure of data
Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties solely on the basis of your use of our website.

 

4. Rights of data subjects
You have the following rights vis-à-vis us with regard to your personal data:

  • Right to information.
  • Right to rectification or erasure.
  • Right to restriction of processing.
  • Right to object to processing.
  • Right to data portability.


You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us.

 

5. Right of objection
If your personal data are processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, provided that there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation.
